About Dan Kiang
Prior to founding Aqua Lake, Dan Kiang was Senior Managing Director and Head of Asia Public Equity for Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan (OTPP), a leading Canadian pension fund with $248 billion of assets under management. Dan personally managed over $1.5 billion of assets for OTTP in Asia, and was a member of the Global Investment Committee responsible for $12 billion of the firm's money.
Prior to OTTP, Dan worked in senior roles for several prestigious institutional investors, including Mount Kellett (a $7 billion hedge fund), Bank of America Merrill Lynch (Asian Special Situations Group) and TVG Capital Partners (later JP Morgan Direct Investment Group), all based in Hong Kong.
